Description

This Tropical Spicy Guava Cocktail is the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy! Made with fresh guava juice, citrus, a kick of chili, and your favorite spirit, this refreshing drink is ideal for summer parties, beach vibes, or any time you crave a bold tropical twist.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 oz guava juice (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1 1/2 oz tequila, rum, or vodka
  • 1/2 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur (e.g., Cointreau or triple sec)
  • 1/2 oz honey or agave syrup
  • 12 slices fresh jalapeño or a pinch of chili flakes (for heat)
  • Tajín or chili powder (for rimming the glass)
  • Ice cubes
  • Club soda or sparkling water (optional, for topping)
  • Guava slice, lime wedge, or chili pepper (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Rim the Glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it in Tajín or chili powder for a spicy kick.

  • Muddle the Spice: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices (or add chili flakes) with lime juice and honey/agave syrup to release the heat.

  • Shake It Up: Add guava juice, tequila (or chosen spirit), and orange liqueur. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.

  • Strain & Serve: Strain into a prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

  • Top It Off: If desired, add a splash of club soda for a fizzy finish.

  • Garnish & Enjoy: Garnish with a guava slice, lime wedge, or a whole chili pepper for extra flair.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Make it frozen by blending all ingredients with ice for a slushy version.
  • For a mocktail, skip the alcohol and add more club soda or coconut water
