Description

These Tiramisu Truffles are a bite-sized twist on the classic Italian dessert, made with mascarpone cheese, espresso, and crushed ladyfingers. Coated in rich cocoa powder or melted chocolate, these no-bake truffles are the perfect treat for coffee and chocolate lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ladyfingers
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Truffle Mixture

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, espresso powder, and vanilla extract.
  2. Mix until a smooth dough-like consistency forms. If the mixture feels too soft, chill it in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: Shape the Truffles

  1. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls.
  2. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Coat the Truffles

  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  2. Roll half of the truffles in cocoa powder and dip the other half in melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  3. Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate for another 15 minutes to set.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Dust with extra cocoa powder or grated chocolate for an elegant touch.
  • Serve with espresso or cappuccino for the ultimate tiramisu experience.
  • Gift them in a decorative box for a homemade gourmet treat.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Prefer a boozy version? Add 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur (Kahlúa or Baileys) to the mixture.
  • No ladyfingers? Substitute with graham crackers or vanilla wafers.
