Ingredients

Scale

Meat:

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 1/2 lb turkey breast, sliced

Produce:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Condiments:

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Bread & Dairy:

  • 8 slices bread (sourdough, white, or whole grain)
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Make the Dijon-Mayo Spread:

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.

2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

  1. Spread the Dijon-mayo mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer sliced turkey, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, tomato slices, and lettuce onto four of the bread slices.
  3. Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.

3. Grill the Sandwiches:

  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich.
  3. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

4. Serve & Enjoy:

  1. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm with chips, fries, or a side salad.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toast the bread slightly before assembling.
  • Swap cheddar for Swiss or provolone for a different flavor.
  • Use turkey leftovers for a delicious post-holiday meal!
