Description

Swirled Caramel Apple Fudge is a melt-in-your-mouth treat combining sweet and tangy green apple with rich salted caramel flavors. This visually stunning dessert is perfect for fall gatherings, Halloween parties, or gifting. With a beautiful swirl pattern and easy microwave prep, it’s a crowd-pleasing favorite!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 16 oz salted caramel candy melts
  • 16 oz vibrant green candy melts
  • 28 oz sweetened condensed milk (two 14-oz cans)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons green apple candy flavoring

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Prepare the Caramel Layer:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine salted caramel candy melts and one can of sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Prepare the Green Apple Layer:
    • In a second microwave-safe bowl, combine vibrant green candy melts with the other can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir in green apple candy flavoring until fully mixed.
  4. Melt the Mixtures:
    • Microwave each bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between intervals, until the mixtures are melted and smooth (approximately 2 minutes).
  5. Create the Swirl:
    • Pour alternating layers of the caramel mixture and apple mixture into the prepared baking pan to create a swirl pattern. Use a spatula or knife to gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
  6. Chill:
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 hours, or until the fudge is completely set.
  7. Slice and Serve:
    • Once set, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Slice into 32 pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Do not substitute regular caramel: This recipe specifically requires caramel candy melts for the right consistency.
  • Storage: Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Variations: Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor contrast.
