Ingredients
Scale
For the Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Honey Lemon Glaze:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Wings:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place an oven-safe wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and olive oil until evenly coated.
- Bake the Wings:
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- Prepare the Glaze:
- While the wings bake, combine honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
- Coat the Wings:
- Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey lemon glaze over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve:
- Arrange the wings on a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Extra Crispy Tip: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels before seasoning to ensure maximum crispiness.
- Spicy Variation: Add a pinch of red chili flakes to the glaze for a sweet and spicy kick.
- Storage: Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
