Description

These Strawberry Cream Glazed Donuts are bakery-style indulgence made at home—filled with fluffy strawberry whipped cream, dipped in a glossy pink glaze, and topped with a swirl of cream and fresh berries. A dreamy, elegant donut perfect for spring brunch or Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients

For the donuts:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F)

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the strawberry cream filling:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam

For the strawberry glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons strawberry puree or strawberry milk

  • Few drops pink food coloring (optional)

For garnish:

  • 6 fresh strawberries, halved

  • Optional: extra strawberry whipped cream for piping

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  2. Mix in egg and melted butter. Gradually add flour and salt to form a dough. Knead until smooth and elastic.

  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  4. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into rounds. Let rise again for 30 minutes.

  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry donuts for 1–2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and cool completely.

  6. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gently fold in strawberry jam.

  7. Fill a piping bag with the strawberry cream and pipe into each donut from the side.

  8. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Dip each donut top into the glaze and let set.

  9. Optionally, pipe a swirl of cream on top and garnish with a halved fresh strawberry.

Notes

  • Make sure donuts are fully cooled before filling or glazing.

  • Strawberry milk adds sweetness and a pink tint to the glaze.

  • Keep refrigerated if filled and not eaten right away.
