- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Steak:
- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta:
- Boil fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
2. Cook the Steak:
- Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to your preference).
- Add butter to the pan and baste the steak for extra flavor.
- Remove steak and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Add cooked fettuccine and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time for a silkier consistency.
4. Assemble & Serve:
- Plate the Alfredo pasta and top with sliced steak.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Notes
- Use sirloin for a leaner option or ribeye for extra flavor.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies.
- Serve with garlic bread or a fresh side salad for a complete Pasta Dinner Recipe.
