Description

Juicy, smoky sausages grilled to perfection with sweet and tangy peppers—an easy and flavorful dish for any BBQ, picnic, or weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound smoked sausages or bratwurst
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Grill – Heat the grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
2️⃣ Prepare the Vegetables – In a bowl, toss bell peppers and onions with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
3️⃣ Grill the Sausages & Peppers – Place sausages directly on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until charred. Grill peppers and onions in a grill basket or foil packet for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4️⃣ Combine & Serve – Toss grilled peppers and onions with balsamic vinegar (if using) and serve alongside the sausages. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use hot Italian sausage for extra spice or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
  • Serve in hoagie rolls for a delicious sandwich-style meal.
  • Add mushrooms or zucchini to the grill for extra veggies.
  • Great with a side of mustard, aioli, or chimichurri sauce!
