Description

This elegant Peach Millefeuille is a stunning French-inspired dessert made with flaky layers of puff pastry, fresh whipped cream, and juicy peach preserves. Light, sweet, and irresistibly creamy, it’s perfect for special occasions, summer gatherings, or whenever you want to impress with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peach preserves
  • 1 peach (fresh or canned), thinly sliced
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Puff Pastry:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until evenly thin.
  • Cut into rectangles about 2×4 inches.
  • Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15–20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Let cool completely.

2. Whip the Cream:

  • In a chilled bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Millefeuille:

  • Place one rectangle of puff pastry on a serving plate.
  • Spread a layer of whipped cream, add a few peach slices or a spoonful of preserves.
  • Repeat with another layer of pastry, cream, and peaches.
  • Finish with a final puff pastry layer.

4. Garnish:

  • Dust the top with powdered sugar.
  • Optionally, top with additional peach slices or a drizzle of peach preserves for presentation.

5. Serve:

  • Carefully slice and serve with tea or coffee. Best served immediately for crisp texture.

Notes

  • For easier slicing, chill the assembled dessert for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • You can mix fresh peaches with preserves for a fresher flavor.
  • Puff pastry can be baked in advance and stored in an airtight container.
