Ingredients
Scale
For the Panna Cotta
- 1 cup half-and-half or cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup wildflower honey
- 1 tsp dried lavender buds
- 1 1/2 tsp powdered gelatin
- 1 tbsp water
For Garnish
- Fresh strawberries or other berries
Instructions
1️⃣ Bloom the Gelatin
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1 tbsp of water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
2️⃣ Infuse the Cream
- In a saucepan, heat milk, half-and-half (or cream), honey, and dried lavender over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally and heat until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and let the lavender infuse for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh sieve, discarding the solids.
3️⃣ Combine & Set
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm mixture and whisk until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into 4 ramekins or serving glasses.
- Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, or ideally overnight, until set.
4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy
- To unmold, dip the ramekin in warm water for 10 seconds, then gently loosen the edges with a knife and invert onto a plate.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries or berries of your choice.
- Drizzle with extra honey for a touch of extra sweetness!
Notes
- For a vegan version, replace the gelatin with agar-agar and use coconut milk instead of dairy.
- You can adjust the lavender flavor by infusing it longer for a stronger taste.
- Best enjoyed chilled, straight from the fridge!
