Description

This Honey & Lavender Panna Cotta is a dreamy, silky-smooth dessert that balances the floral notes of lavender with the sweet, golden richness of honey. Light yet indulgent, this gluten-free treat is easy to make and perfect for an elegant dinner party or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Panna Cotta

  • 1 cup half-and-half or cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup wildflower honey
  • 1 tsp dried lavender buds
  • 1 1/2 tsp powdered gelatin
  • 1 tbsp water

For Garnish

  • Fresh strawberries or other berries

Instructions

1️⃣ Bloom the Gelatin

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 1 tbsp of water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

2️⃣ Infuse the Cream

  1. In a saucepan, heat milk, half-and-half (or cream), honey, and dried lavender over medium heat.
  2. Stir occasionally and heat until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat and let the lavender infuse for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh sieve, discarding the solids.

3️⃣ Combine & Set

  1. Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm mixture and whisk until fully dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into 4 ramekins or serving glasses.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, or ideally overnight, until set.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy

  1. To unmold, dip the ramekin in warm water for 10 seconds, then gently loosen the edges with a knife and invert onto a plate.
  2. Garnish with fresh strawberries or berries of your choice.
  3. Drizzle with extra honey for a touch of extra sweetness!

Notes

  • For a vegan version, replace the gelatin with agar-agar and use coconut milk instead of dairy.
  • You can adjust the lavender flavor by infusing it longer for a stronger taste.
  • Best enjoyed chilled, straight from the fridge!
