Units
Scale
- 1 (10-ounce) bag Fritos corn chips
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
- 2–3 ounces chocolate (chips or almond bark, for drizzle)
- 1/2 cup toffee bits (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Base
- Grease a 9″ x 13″ pan and spread the Fritos evenly across the bottom.
Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Mixture
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
Step 3: Assemble the Bars
- Pour the peanut butter mixture evenly over the Fritos.
- If using, sprinkle the toffee bits on top while warm.
Step 4: Add the Chocolate Drizzle
- Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe ziplock bag in 30-second intervals, kneading between each round until smooth.
- Snip off a corner of the bag and drizzle over the bars.
Step 5: Cool & Serve
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares. (Hard to wait, but worth it!)
Notes
- Extra Crunch: Try adding chopped pretzels or peanuts for even more texture.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- Flavor Twist: Swap peanut butter for almond butter or Nutella for a different flavor profile.
