Ingredients

Scale

For the Italian Cream Cheese Spread

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (good quality)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil

For the Pinwheels

  • 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
  • 4 cups finely shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 sweet onion, very thinly sliced
  • 4 Roma tomatoes, very thinly sliced
  • 8 oz thinly sliced salami
  • 8 oz thinly sliced capocollo
  • 8 oz thinly sliced smoked ham

Instructions

Make the Italian Cream Cheese Spread

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, and basil until smooth.

Assemble the Pinwheels

  1. Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface and spread the Italian cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  2. Sprinkle shredded lettuce evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  3. Layer thinly sliced onions and tomatoes on top of the lettuce.
  4. Evenly distribute salami, capocollo, and ham over each tortilla.

Roll & Slice

  1. Tightly roll each tortilla into a log and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  2. Use a sharp serrated knife to slice into 1-inch pinwheels.

Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add banana peppers, roasted red peppers, or provolone cheese to the layers.
  • Make-Ahead Friendly – Prep the rolls a few hours in advance, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and slice before serving.
  • Low-Carb Option – Use low-carb tortillas or wrap the filling in large lettuce leaves instead.
