Prepare the Brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, stirring until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let brownies cool completely before adding the mint layer.
