Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Blondies:

  • 1 cup tahini (smooth and unsweetened)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

For the Topping:

  • 2 tbsp tahini, for drizzling
  • Sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Make the Blondie Batter:

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together tahini, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
    • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  3. Bake the Blondies:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
    • Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
    • Let the blondies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Drizzle with Tahini and Serve:

    • Once cooled, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of tahini and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt for an extra indulgent touch.
    • Slice into squares and enjoy these melt-in-your-mouth tahini blondies!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, feel free to add a bit more tahini to the batter or drizzle extra tahini on top.
  • To make these blondies gluten-free, swap the all-purpose flour for a gluten-free flour blend.
