Description

Perfectly grilled salmon with a caramelized honey glaze—sweet, smoky, and packed with flavor! This quick and easy BBQ favorite is a must-try for any seafood lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Marinade – In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
2️⃣ Marinate the Salmon – Brush salmon fillets with olive oil, then pour half of the glaze over them. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
3️⃣ Preheat the Grill – Heat grill to medium-high (about 400°F). Oil the grates to prevent sticking.
4️⃣ Grill the Salmon – Place fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip, brush with remaining glaze, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve – Remove from grill, sprinkle with fresh thyme or parsley, and serve hot with extra glaze on the side.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, brush with glaze during the last minute of grilling.
  • Substitute maple syrup for honey for a different sweet flavor.
  • Pairs perfectly with grilled veggies, rice, or a fresh summer salad.
  • Works well in a cast-iron skillet or oven broiler if grilling isn’t an option.
