- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp horseradish (optional for extra zing)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
1️⃣ Combine Ingredients:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, and brown sugar.
2️⃣ Add Spices:
- Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
3️⃣ Simmer:
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
4️⃣ Cool & Store:
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!
- Drizzle over steak, burgers, grilled meats, or even as a dip.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Try adding a splash of apple cider vinegar for extra tang!
