Description

Juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned—these grilled shrimp skewers are a must-have for any BBQ, summer gathering, or seafood feast! They’re quick to prepare, packed with flavor, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Shrimp – In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using). Add shrimp and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
2️⃣ Prepare the Skewers – Thread shrimp onto soaked wooden skewers, making sure they are secure.
3️⃣ Grill the Shrimp – Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and slightly charred.
4️⃣ Garnish & Serve – Remove from the grill, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges or dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or Old Bay seasoning to the marinade.
  • If using metal skewers, no soaking is needed.
  • Serve with garlic butter, chimichurri, or spicy aioli for dipping.
  • Pairs perfectly with grilled vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
