Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pasta & Sauce:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Grilled Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.

2. Grill the Chicken:

  • Preheat grill or pan over medium-high heat.
  • Brush chicken with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Grill for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked (165°F internal temp).
  • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  • In a pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  • Add cooked fettuccine and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time for a silkier consistency.

4. Assemble & Serve:

  • Plate the creamy Alfredo pasta and top with sliced grilled chicken.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Alfredo With Chicken Broth instead of heavy cream.
  • Use Chicken Alfredo Pasta With Jar Sauce for a quicker alternative.
  • For a richer sauce, add cream cheese or a splash of white wine.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a fresh salad for a complete Alfredo Fettuccine Recipe meal.
