Description

Dazzling, dramatic, and Aries-approved, these Golden Aries Cake Pops feature a rich red velvet core coated in silky white chocolate and rolled in edible gold dust. Ingredients

Red Velvet Cake Pop Core:

  • 2 cups red velvet cake crumbs (homemade or from a boxed mix)

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Coating & Decoration:

  • 2 cups white chocolate or white candy melts

  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

  • Edible gold dust or shimmer spray

  • Gold paper straws or lollipop sticks


Instructions

Make the Cake Pop Dough:

  1. Crumble red velvet cake into a large bowl.

  2. Add cream cheese frosting and vanilla extract. Mix with a spoon or hands until it forms a soft, cohesive dough.

Shape & Chill: 3. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Insert Sticks: 4. Melt a small amount of white chocolate. Dip one end of each stick into the chocolate, then insert it halfway into each chilled cake ball.
5. Return to the fridge for another 10 minutes to set.

Coat the Cake Pops: 6. Melt remaining white chocolate (with coconut oil if using) until smooth.
7. Dip each cake pop fully into the chocolate, tapping off excess.
8. Immediately dust or roll the pop in edible gold shimmer while the coating is still wet.

 

Set & Serve: 9. Stand pops upright in a cake pop stand or styrofoam base.
10. Chill until fully set. Display with warm lighting or on reflective trays to maximize the golden glow.


Notes

  • For deeper flavor, add a hint of cinnamon or chili to the cake base for a fiery Aries twist.

  • Edible gold shimmer sticks best to slightly warm chocolate—dust quickly!
