Scale
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 cups dark or milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice bananas into 1-inch rounds and arrange them on the baking sheet. Freeze for at least 1 hour until firm.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Using a fork or toothpick, dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate to coat completely.
- If using toppings, sprinkle over bananas before the chocolate hardens.
- Place the chocolate-dipped bananas back on the baking sheet and freeze for another 30 minutes, or until fully set.
- Serve immediately, or transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- Use overripe bananas for extra sweetness.
- Dark chocolate adds a richer taste, while milk chocolate gives a creamier texture.
