    • 1 cup water

    • 3/4 cup boiling water
    • 3.5 ounces orange gelatin mix (Jell-O)
    • 3/4 cup cold orange soda (Orange Crush)
  • Topping:

    • Orange sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1: Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spray a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil, and egg whites with an electric mixer on low speed until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions (about 25-30 minutes) or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a medium pot, bring ¾ cup water to a boil.
  2. Stir in the orange gelatin powder until fully dissolved.
  3. Add ¾ cup cold Orange Crush soda and mix well.

Step 3: Poke and Fill the Cake

  1. Using a fork, skewer, or the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake, about ½ inch apart.
  2. Slowly pour the orange gelatin mixture evenly over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  3. Let the cake cool completely for about 1 hour.

Step 4: Add the Topping and Chill

  1. Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake.
  2. Sprinkle with orange sprinkles for a fun and festive touch.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Slice the cake into squares and serve chilled.
  2. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
