- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or gruyère)
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6 equal squares. Press each square into the muffin tin.
- Sprinkle bacon and shredded cheese into each pastry cup.
- Carefully crack one egg into the center of each cup.
- Brush pastry edges with melted butter and season with salt & black pepper.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and egg whites are set.
- Garnish with fresh chives and serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a runnier yolk, bake for 14-15 minutes instead.
- Swap bacon for cooked sausage, ham, or sautéed veggies for variety.
- Use store-bought crescent dough as an alternative to puff pastry.
