With just 10 simple ingredients, the crockpot does all the work, leaving you with melt-in-your-mouth steak bites the whole family will love!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites

  • 2 lbs stew beef (or sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

For Garnish

  • Sesame seeds, for topping
  • Fresh parsley or scallions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak Bites – Pat stew beef dry with a paper towel and place in the crockpot.
  • Make the Sauce – In a bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and oregano. Pour over the steak bites.
  • Slow Cook – Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2½ hours, until the beef is tender.
  • Thicken the Sauce – In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry. Stir into the crockpot and cook for 15 more minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve & Garnish – Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh parsley or scallions. Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra richness, sear the steak bites in a skillet with 1 tbsp butter before adding them to the crockpot.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave.
  • Make it spicy! Add red pepper flakes or sriracha for heat.
