Produce

  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/2 head romaine lettuce (shredded or torn)

Refrigerated

  • 2 eggs

Condiments

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • Oil (for frying)

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 4 buns (toasted if desired)

Dairy

  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan (finely grated for sauce)
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan (grated, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  1. Butterfly the chicken breasts and pound to an even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up a breading station:
    • Bowl 1: Flour
    • Bowl 2: Eggs whisked with 1 tbsp milk
    • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs mixed with 2 tbsp grated Parmesan.
  3. Dip each chicken fillet into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken fillets for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Caesar Sauce

  1. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. Spread the Caesar sauce on the bottom halves of the toasted buns.
  2. Layer with romaine lettuce, a crispy chicken fillet, and more Caesar sauce. Add the top bun.

Serve

  1. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the buns with a little butter or garlic.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt in the sauce for a lighter option.
  • Pair with fries or a simple salad for a complete meal.
