Description

These Crispy Baklava Rolls are a flaky, nutty, and honey-sweetened delight! Made with buttery puff pastry, roasted pistachios, raspberry jam, and a cinnamon-honey syrup, this easy dessert comes together in under an hour. Perfect for any occasion!

For the Baklava Rolls

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 3/4 cup pistachios, finely chopped (salted & roasted)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 large egg, for egg wash
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Honey Syrup

  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prepare the Pastry

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.

2. Make the Filling

  1. In a bowl, mix chopped pistachios, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Spread raspberry jam evenly over each puff pastry sheet.
  3. Sprinkle the nut mixture over the jam layer.

3. Roll & Bake

  1. Roll each pastry sheet tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch rolls.
  2. Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

4. Make the Honey Syrup

  1. While the rolls bake, heat honey, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.

5. Glaze & Serve

  1. Drizzle the warm honey syrup over the baked rolls.
  2. Let them soak for 5-10 minutes, then enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add chopped walnuts or almonds to the filling.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Best served warm, but can be reheated for extra crispiness.
