A rich, tangy, and herby homemade creamy Italian dressing, perfect for salads, pasta salads, and as a flavorful dip!
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2–3 tbsp water (to thin, as needed)
Instructions
Blend the Ingredients:
- In a food processor or blender, combine mayonnaise, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and Dijon mustard.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
2. Season & Adjust:
- Add honey (if using), oregano, basil, thyme, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Blend again until well combined.
3. Adjust Consistency:
- If the dressing is too thick, add 1 tbsp of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
4. Chill & Serve:
- Transfer to a jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve over fresh salads, pasta salads, or as a dip for veggies.
Notes
- Storage: Keep refrigerated in a sealed jar for up to 1 week.
- Vinegar Swap: Apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar can replace red wine vinegar for a different flavor.
- Extra Creaminess: Add 1 tbsp Greek yogurt for a richer texture.
