Description

A fresh and buttery lobster roll made with tender chunks of lobster, crisp vegetables, and a light dressing, served in a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional)
  • 4 New England-style hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • Prepare the Lobster Salad:

    • In a bowl, mix lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, celery, red onion, and chives.
    • Stir gently to combine.
  • Toast the Buns:

    • Brush the sides of the hot dog buns with melted butter.
    • Toast in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
  • Assemble the Rolls:

    • Fill each toasted bun generously with the lobster salad.
  • Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve immediately with lemon wedges and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra richness, use buttered brioche buns instead of hot dog buns.
  • Prefer a warm lobster roll? Toss the lobster in melted butter and skip the mayo-based dressing.
  • Add crunch with shredded lettuce or serve with kettle chips for a classic East Coast meal.
