Description

Refreshing, tangy, and perfectly sweet—this homemade lemonade is the ultimate thirst-quencher for warm days! Made with fresh lemons, it’s a cool and crisp drink that’s simple yet incredibly delicious.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Lemon Syrup – In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
2️⃣ Juice the Lemons – Squeeze fresh lemons and strain the juice to remove any seeds.
3️⃣ Mix the Lemonade – In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well.
4️⃣ Chill & Serve – Add ice cubes, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
  • For a fun twist, replace ½ cup of water with sparkling water for a fizzy version!
  • Swap granulated sugar for honey or agave syrup for a more natural sweetener.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days—just stir before serving.
