- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 oz dark or white chocolate, melted
- Sprinkles or chopped nuts, for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter & Sugar: In a bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Pipe the Dough: Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe small rounds, rosettes, or strips onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow cookies to cool completely.
- Dip & Decorate: Dip each cookie halfway into melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles or chopped nuts. Let set before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter texture, add 1 tablespoon of milk if the dough is too stiff to pipe.
- Use white chocolate, dark chocolate, or even colored icing for variety.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
