Description

This Classic Homemade Tartare Sauce, inspired by Mary Berry’s easy recipe, is the perfect creamy and tangy accompaniment for beer-battered fish, seafood, or crispy fries. Made with mayonnaise, pickles, capers, Dijon mustard, and fresh parsley, this quick and easy sauce is packed with flavor and ready in just minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped pickles
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped capers
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, capers, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Let It Rest: Cover and let sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Serve & Enjoy: Perfect for beer-battered fish, shrimp, crab cakes, or as a dip for fries!

Notes

  • For extra tang, add a splash of white wine vinegar.
  • If you prefer a chunkier texture, leave the pickles and capers slightly larger.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
