Description
A traditional New England feast featuring fresh clams, lobster, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and smoky sausage, all steamed together with aromatic herbs.

- 2 lbs littleneck clams, scrubbed
- 2 lobster tails (optional)
- 1 lb large shrimp, shell-on
- 1 lb baby potatoes
- 4 ears corn, cut into halves
- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (or water)
- 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Pot:
- In a large stockpot or Dutch oven, layer potatoes at the bottom and add 2 inches of water or white wine.
- Bring to a boil and cook potatoes for 10 minutes.
Add the Ingredients:
- Layer onions, garlic, smoked sausage, and corn over the potatoes. Sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Steam the Seafood:
- Place lobster tails (if using), shrimp, and clams on top.
- Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes, or until clams open and shrimp turn pink.
Serve:
- Transfer everything to a large platter.
- Drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
- Enjoy with crusty bread, extra melted butter, and your favorite dipping sauces!
Notes
- Make sure to discard any unopened clams after steaming.
- Want more flavor? Add thyme, bay leaves, or extra garlic to the steaming liquid.
