Description

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

For the Chocolate Frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Decoration:

  • 1/4 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • 36 mini speckled candy eggs (3 per cupcake)

Instructions

  • Make the Cupcakes

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
    • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Prepare the Batter

    • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    • Mix in vanilla extract.
    • Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
  • Bake

    • Divide the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about ¾ full.
    • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    • Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  • Make the Frosting

    • Beat butter until smooth.
    • Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing well.
    • Stir in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
    • Beat until frosting is creamy and fluffy.
  • Decorate

    • Using a grass piping tip, pipe frosting in circular motions to create a nest shape on each cupcake.
    • Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles to add texture.
    • Place three mini speckled candy eggs in the center of each nest.
