For the Crust:

- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp cold water
For the Filling:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- Whipped cream (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the crust: In a bowl, combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar until the mixture is crumbly. Add egg yolk and cold water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Bake the crust: Press the dough into a tart pan, poke holes with a fork, and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool.
- Prepare the filling: Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until warm (but not boiling), then pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
- Mix in flavors: Add cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Assemble & chill: Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled tart crust and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until set.
- Garnish & serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts for a crunchy finish.
