Description

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
For the Topping:
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, egg, and salt. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the Bread: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread a mixture of almond butter, honey, and cinnamon over the surface.
  4. Roll into a log and slice lengthwise. Twist the two halves together and form a braid.
  5. Place in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Add Toppings: Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and spread over the cooled bread.
  8. Sprinkle with chia seeds before serving.
