Ingredients
For the Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For the Cheesecake Layer:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven & Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. Make the Brownie Batter:
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
3. Prepare the Cheesecake Mixture:
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
4. Layer & Swirl:
Dollop the cheesecake mixture on top of the brownie batter.
Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the layers together, creating a marbled effect.
5. Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set and the edges are slightly golden.
6. Cool & Serve:
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Enjoy as is or refrigerate for an even fudgier texture!
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them set in the fridge.
Swirling tip: Don’t overmix the cheesecake layer into the brownies for the best marbled effect.
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
