Whether you’re celebrating National Pizza Party Day, hosting a gathering, or just looking for a delicious lunch idea, this bite-sized party food is simple to make and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the pastry. Layer with tomato slices and fresh mozzarella.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Notes

  • Make it extra crispy: For an even flakier crust, prick the puff pastry with a fork before adding toppings.
  • Prevent sogginess: Pat the tomato slices with a paper towel before layering them on the pastry to reduce excess moisture.
  • Cheese variation: Swap fresh mozzarella for burrata or provolone for a different texture and taste.
