- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices sourdough bread (thick-cut)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook the bacon – In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- Scramble the eggs – In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and black pepper. In a greased skillet over medium-low heat, cook the eggs until just set, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Assemble the sandwiches –
- Butter one side of each sourdough slice.
- On the unbuttered side, layer 2 slices of cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon, and 2 more slices of cheese.
- Top with another slice of bread (buttered side facing out).
