- 6 cups cold water (filtered or purified recommended)
- 5 limes, cut into wedges (use whole, including skin)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (or more to taste)
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
Blend the Base:
- Add the cold water, lime wedges (whole, with skin), and granulated sugar into a blender. Blend until the lime wedges are completely broken down.
2. Strain the Mixture:
- Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the blended mixture into the strainer, catching the liquid in the bowl below.
- Discard the lime pulp and pieces left in the strainer.
3. Add the Creaminess:
- Rinse the blender and pour the strained lime mixture back into it. Add the sweetened condensed milk. Blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
4. Serve:
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the Brazilian lemonade over the top. Garnish with fresh lime slices if desired.
Notes
- Water Quality: Use filtered or purified water for the best flavor.
- Whole Limes: Blend the limes with the skin on for a robust, zesty flavor. The pulp, skin, and zest are strained out after blending.
- Adjust Sweetness: Add more sweetened condensed milk for a richer, sweeter drink.
