- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup black sesame paste
- 1/4 cup honey
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp black sesame powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, eggs, and salt. Mix to form a dough. Gradually knead in softened butter until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Buns: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread black sesame paste mixed with honey evenly over the surface.
- Roll into a log and slice into 9 equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the Whipped Topping: Beat heavy cream with powdered sugar and black sesame powder until soft peaks form.
- Assemble: Let the buns cool slightly, then top with black sesame whipped cream.
- Serve: Enjoy warm, optionally garnished with edible gold leaf for an elegant touch.
