Sliders
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or any small buns)
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 9 slices American cheese
- 24–30 dill pickle slices
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Slider Mixture
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
Big Mac Sauce
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 1/2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13 baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray.
- Make the Big Mac Sauce – Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Prepare the beef mixture – In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onions, salt, and pepper until the beef is fully browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Assemble the sliders –
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in the baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of Big Mac sauce on the buns.
- Evenly distribute the beef mixture on top.
- Add cheese slices to cover the beef.
- Layer pickle slices evenly over the cheese.
- Bake (first round) – Bake uncovered for 8-10 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Add lettuce & final touches – Remove from the oven, sprinkle shredded lettuce on top, and add an extra drizzle of sauce. Place the top buns over the sliders.
- Butter & sesame seed topping – Brush the top buns with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Final bake – Cover with foil and bake for another 3-4 minutes until everything is warmed through.
- Serve & enjoy!
Notes
- Prefer warm lettuce? Add it with the cheese and pickles before baking.
- If using different slider buns, form small individual burger patties instead of a beef mixture.
- Want a shortcut? Substitute Thousand Island dressing for the homemade Big Mac sauce.
- Toasting the top buns separately before assembling can keep them from getting too soft.
