Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano or thyme
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven – Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  2. Prepare the salmon – Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil (or melted butter) and rub with garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and oregano.

  3. Bake the salmon – Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  4. Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
  • Swap olive oil for butter for a richer flavor.
  • Use fresh herbs like dill or basil for added freshness.
  • Serve with steamed asparagus, roasted potatoes, or a fresh salad.
