- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups diced apples (any variety)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
