Made with tortillas, a bold nacho seasoning blend, and air-fried to perfection, this easy 13-minute recipe is the perfect healthier alternative to traditional chips.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chips:

  • 12 tortillas (flour or corn)
  • 1/2 tbsp oil (spray oil as needed)

Seasoning Blend:

  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Seasoning:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the seasoning mix in a large zip-top bag and set aside.

2. Cut the Tortillas:

  1. On a cutting board, slice each tortilla into 8 triangles.

3. Air Fry the Chips:

  1. Lightly spray tortilla triangles with oil.
  2. Place the first batch in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  3. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Flip the chips and air fry for another 2-3 minutes, until crispy.

4. Season the Chips:

  1. Let the chips cool for a minute, then transfer them to the zip-top bag with the seasoning.
  2. Seal the bag and shake well to evenly coat the chips.
  3. Remove from the bag, shake off excess seasoning, and serve immediately!

Notes

  • For extra cheesiness, add 1 tbsp nutritional yeast or cheddar powder to the seasoning blend.
  • For spicier Doritos, increase the chili powder or add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
