For the Chips:
- 12 tortillas (flour or corn)
- 1/2 tbsp oil (spray oil as needed)
Seasoning Blend:
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Seasoning:
- In a small bowl, whisk together chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the seasoning mix in a large zip-top bag and set aside.
2. Cut the Tortillas:
- On a cutting board, slice each tortilla into 8 triangles.
3. Air Fry the Chips:
- Lightly spray tortilla triangles with oil.
- Place the first batch in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Flip the chips and air fry for another 2-3 minutes, until crispy.
4. Season the Chips:
- Let the chips cool for a minute, then transfer them to the zip-top bag with the seasoning.
- Seal the bag and shake well to evenly coat the chips.
- Remove from the bag, shake off excess seasoning, and serve immediately!
Notes
- For extra cheesiness, add 1 tbsp nutritional yeast or cheddar powder to the seasoning blend.
- For spicier Doritos, increase the chili powder or add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
